SiMPLuS network engineering
and analysis automation solution provides extensive capabilities for what-if analysis,
resiliency analysis and trend analysis/growth analysis. The solution interfaces with OSS
to capture the current and historic traffic trends. Based on the network traffic trends,
the solution triggers systems for automatic capacity upgrades or circuit/tunnel
augmentation. It also identifies critical links having low availability or common failures
occurring across the network.
The simulation mode of the solution provides re-routing
possibilities such as optimal protection path distribution to avoid congestion in MPLS
links as well as required metric change under specific failures in IS-IS/OSPF links. In
addition, the solution automatically captures the inventory utilization in terms of
available VLANs/ports in IP network and available slots/ports in optical network for
design & planning of network assets. Any customer-specific complex logic for network
engineering and analysis can also be automated to provide an intelligent command
and control management (NCCM) overlay for the entire network setup and its assets.
